Known to us by reputation, but never actually tried, we made our way to Ecabar (one-word!) in deepest darkest Darlinghurst in search of good coffee, food and people watching. We were not disappointed.
RATINGS:
BRAD: A cosy cafe with a limited menu but excellent service. Enjoyed watching the Darlo-types strut their uba-urban 'tude and got some fashion tips. Great to see Vespas in action (makes me reminisce about Melbourne... Oh, I give this a solid 4 Golden Eggs for what it is. Simple, reliable and with great service. I probably wont make a special effort to get here again but if I'm around I'd head here.
ANDREW: I remember this as a really crazy day. I chose this cafe so I could go and visit my dear friend and colleague Marlene Norst who was in St Vincent's hospice with only a few weeks to live. But she had the most celebratory attitude of anyone I've ever know who was about to die. Amazing lady.
