Origins

Since returning to Sydney in 2008, long-time friends, Brad and David, scheduled in regular Saturday morning brunches in order to catch up at the end of each busy week before heading off to work/sport for the rest of Saturday.

It all started around the corner at Maggios in Cammeray - a great local family run cafe with reliably good food and excellent service. Here they would chat, goss', solve the world's problems and just savour the joy of each other's company.

Soon, they started to travel further afield, sometimes prompted by work commitments (sports venues etc) but otherwise prompted by a sprit of enquiry and a determination to make Sydney 'our town'.

When David unexpectedly passed away in November 2009, Brad and Andrew decided to continue the tradition as a legacy to him and a tribute to friendship.

So what would become known as 'the saturday brunch club' began.

It has now taken on a life of its own with Sal joining the ranks and has become a crucial social tonic and weekly highlight.
