Whether it was a surge of patriotic fervour or the tug of distant friends, the brunch club, after touting the idea of Canberra last week, simply grasped the nettle and made it so.
Autumn in Canberra - hard to beat.
Perfect weather (sunny but crisp) and with no crowds to negotiate (is there ever in Canberra?) we went primarily for the view this week and so we ended up at the National Museum overlooking Lake Burley Griffin. Really more of a cafeteria than the sort of genuine cafe that we are used to, but we didn't mind getting up to order and when it came the food wasn't too bad. Indeed, it was perfect no fuss well cooked basics.
And all this was just the preface for a great weekend of adventures. But to find out about everything else you'll need to check out our new upcoming blog "brunchclubbersgowildinnationscapiltal.com"
RATINGS:
BRAD: Don't normally do this but went for the Big Brekkie this week and it was spot on. Everything cooked perfectly. Not too fancy but then again, neither is Canberra (Sorry, couldn't help making at least one Canberra joke!) 3 3/4 Golden Eggs
SAL: A marvellous Canberra morning - vivid blue sky, crisp clean air - invigorating. Brekky was good not overdone, small menu but well done.
